Have you heard of Fascia but not sure what it is??
Simply put, it’s the connective tissue that runs throughout our whole body, it holds all the organs, blood vessels, bones, nerves and muscles in place.
Why do I need to release fascia?
Fascia release is known to increase tissue flexibility and joint mobility, break up adhesions between tissue and free up muscles, allowing easier and more effective movement.
How can I do this?
You can go to a massage therapist or use various types equipment such as a roller, spikey ball or tennis ball.
Next time you feel you have a “knot” in your back try placing a tennis ball on that spot and lean up against the wall. Gently lean into the wall and move up and down over that spot. You should feel the knot start to release.
This can be done on other parts of the body. You can do your glute muscles by laying on your back and placing the ball under tight spots on the glutes and hips.
The roller can be used on different part of the body, keep an eye out for fascia release videos coming soon.
